Dr. Miglietta graduated from Rutgers University and received a degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of the New York Institute of Technology.
He completed his General Surgery residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York. He then completed the prestigious Trauma & Critical Care Fellowship at

Robotic assisted surgery allow specifically trained surgeons, such as Dr. Miglietta, to control the da Vinci system to perform a wide range of operations. Dr. Miglietta performs gallbladder surgery, intestinal surgery and abdominal wall hernia repairs via this technology. These procedures are performed with minimally invasive techniques through a few small incisions. Dr. Miglietta views through a magnified 3D high-definition camera and controls tiny wristed instruments that bend and rotate far greater than the human wrist or even traditional laparoscopic surgery. This enables Dr. Miglietta to operate with enhanced vision, precision, dexterity and control.
